Married since 2011, Dan and his wife have three sons who also share their love for the outdoors, sports, and science. Their oldest son even dreams of becoming an entomologist and keeps insects as pets. With strong family ties in Kansas and a childhood spent vacationing in Flint Hills, Dan feels passionate about making outdoor experiences enjoyable for families in the area. Before joining Mosquito Joe, Dan had 15 years of experience in the green industry including, roles in lawn, tree, and shrub care and pest control. He has found that he gets the most customer satisfaction and self-satisfaction from providing pest and mosquito control services.
Journey to Mosquito Joe
Dan’s journey to Mosquito Joe began with his deep-rooted background in the green industry. He always seemed to be the person in the group that attracted mosquitoes, and when he started a job treating for mosquitoes in 2009, he realized how transformative the service truly is. He went from avoiding his yard for fear of being pestered by bugs to enjoying it with activities like grilling, making fires, and spending time with family.
When Dan and his wife relocated to Manhattan to be closer to family, he immediately recognized a need in the area for the specialization and expertise of a Mosquito Joe franchise. He wanted to be able to provide all the services that people need to enjoy being outdoors, with both traditional and organic treatments available. He was drawn to Mosquito Joe because of the brand’s vibrant colors and fun atmosphere, on top of its dedication to customer satisfaction. Dan has held many titles in the span of his career, but one thing that has remained a constant is his unwavering focus on customer service and creating an excellent work environment. He felt that Mosquito Joe aligned perfectly with these values and was so excited at the opportunity to start a pest control company that would transform the way families use their yards and protect their homes in an area that is so dear to his heart.
